face Facebook!
Monday
I’ve got mail ! In my Facebook(FB) inbox that is! A friend was asking where have I disappeared to?!
I’ve friends whose FB pages are overflowed with announcements and chatter and all sorts of add-ons while mine has hundeds of unattended requests and notifications! My page looks like I vanished into thin air sometime in May!! Every now and then, I do still make a half-hearted attempt at pumping up my inadequate presence in FB, just to see what’s happening, who’s requesting to be added etc. Frankly, I lack the staying power to continually become an active member of the community. The thrill is not so great anymore. However, what I still like about this whole FB thingy is the avenue to track friends from way back when! I found a few high school friends through FB.
I bet if I continue my active presence and search, the list of friends would continue to grow? Thinking about this whole FB thingy, it is actually one great avenue to promote ourselves. For instance, Bob my ex-professor advertises his books on FB! Nice huh?
No, I haven’t forgotten FB.
Fun with screensaver
What’s your computer screensaver?
I change mine constantly but usually a random displays of digi-photos of mostly my son and sceneries. Lots of ‘em. Do you also do this or is this just me?My son loves watching his life flash before his eyes. He normally has a story to tell about every photo.
“Remember we went there just now?”
“Remember the ‘kor kor” (older brother) did like this?
He loves seeing his baby photos too. “That’s me. Last time I’m sooo small. Now I’m sooo big” he cries.
And he would go on an on.

Definitely one of the fine things!
I like to upload pictures to complement posts. Last week, when I checked on my storage availability, the indication was ‘Used: 73% of 50MB’! I was getting worried as I already find it a hassle to keep on deleting old files or pictures to make way for new ones. A friend suggested this trick to allow some space available for future uploads. I even started looking for other sites that offer bigger storage space! So, 2 days ago…it was such a surprise to note this: ”Used: 1% of 3GB”. For a minute there, I thought it was probably some computer errors or something. Well, it was not! According to ‘Matt’ of WordPress, they are giving users the free 3GB! So, if you have paid for, say, a 2GB storage space, your storage space will then automatically becomes 5GB!! Defnitely one of the fine things
I needed the space so I’m HAPPY! Yayyy!! No more worries….I used to wonder how long more it would take me to completely utilize the 50MB limit. I have hopped from one blog site to another just to try out the features i.e. friendliness, etc. So far, wordpress is by far the most impressive to me!. I love the neat themes, just wish wordpress could accommodate or allow the “embed’ code? whatever you call it…
If you’re into blogging with no intention of making any $$$ out of your blogs, wordpress is it. You may however need to divert to some other blog sites it you intend to turn your blogs into a $$$ making site – to blog sites such as blogger.com or blogspot.com perhaps?
My new cellphone!

I’ve got a new Sony Ericsson W580i cellphone as Chritsmas/New Year gift from Daniel! So far I ve already changed cellphone 8th times which is not too bad as opposed to a friend of mine who changes her cellphone at least 4 times a year! Out of the 8, 3 were gifts, the rest were simply bought or changed for the sake of having to ‘feel’ some new ones in the market! I’ve had the O2 PDA and loved it, it was a birthday gift. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long with me as it was stolen, well actually my car was broken into – an incident which I hate recalling! I was sore for a quite sometime for having lost something dear.
Anyway, I love this new cellphone too, thank you very much J It is a beautiful phone, very light, very trendy, and the size is just nice. I particularly like the slider, it is smooth yet secure. I just need to spend some time familiarizing the features/buttons – my previous cellphones were Nokia.

Took me this long(been almost a month) to actually pen down my frustration over my deleted blog. I cursed myelf for being stupid – not having any complete back-up of the content.
Deep sigh **** I’m still hoping for blogspot.com to contact me
Connectivity + Life = Balance
Have you ever thought how life would be if there was no internet?
I definitely cannot stay very long without the Internet—in fact, I need to make sure that there was a connection even if I was not using it!!
Two weeks ago, connections were bad (as in real slow)at night in our area. This went on for days. It got better in the wee hours of the morning. I remember feeling so restless and agitated. One minute, connection was ok, the next minute, it just flopped! Not that I had something really urgent to be uploaded or searched – it’s just the thought of not being able to get online whenever I wanted to. There’s this feeling that “something is missing” if I’m unable to log on or access the Internet. We have wireless broadband fixed, so it truly is hard to imagine life without constant connectivity.
Does this sound familiar, anyone?
Since I’m beginning to think I’m becoming so hooked to the internet, I try to follow the following commandments:
My 5 Commandments on Internet Usage
1. Ensure that I need to go outside and get some sun, enjoy the greens!
2. Ensure that my time on the Internet isn’t taking me away from love ones
3. Ensure my priorities are in order and not to become burnt out.
4. Ensure I surf & blog happy, and also to have a happy life!
5. Take leave from the internet – it will still be there when I return!
