this butterfly was difficult to snap, it moves fast!

Wednesday No rain, not so hazy, a beautiful morning. I was with Mom and Dad early morning today. Mom was still sleeping, Dad however has left to run his ‘errands’.

Visited Mom & Dad this afternoon. There are always additions, something new in Mom’s garden. ”Enjoying this white ones while waiting for the peach ones to re-appear”, she said.

And these pink ones? I don’t know its name nor can Mom remember. Aren’t they cute? It appeared right infront of the verandah, what a perfect location! You’ll surely be entertained while sipping your cup of tea – if you enjoy nature that is

The morning started out fine, and fine it was until 4.30pm. Such heavy, heavy downpour with lighting and thunder! Was at Mom & Dad’s . What I noticed rightaway when I reached there was Mom’s garden – totally, totally blooming!! Mom kept it neat too. Can’t help but take pictures and blog about it. I was there about two weeks ago! weeks ago, and it didnt quite look like in this picture. I should come early morning next time, the time when all flowers are in full bloom! Most of Mom’s flowers can handle full sun, which makes is so much easier to maintain. More pictures later (hope I wont forget; I normally do. like I wite TBC at the very end of my blog entry and I never remember to come back and continue!)

Love this part - as “fences”

Mom’s little garden, which she had left unattended for quite sometime, is practically alive again. She has been working on it lately, to exercise and ’sweat out’, she said. Her new ones were neatly tended. She’s planning on clearing all grass in the frontyard placing flower beds with lilies and other plants. Ivon has been helping her with the flower-beds and walkway too.

Talking about weather, scorching hot at times, real heavy downpour early morning at times, but most of the time – hot and humid! See the soil/earth? Looks rather dry.

lime juice + ikan masin = yummy
Note: ikan masin = salted fish
Got lime! You?
Picture grabbed from www.intellectualize.org
Lime juice can be added to soups, just a few drops can give a tasty zest to the flavor, try it! While reading about it, I learned some medicinal benefits of lime. Just to mention a few, limes are good for the relief of arthritis as they have such a high vitamin C content (good for mom); the juice is a great cooler for the brain and nervous system; can be used to treat brain fever, or someone who is mentally ill; taken with honey, it can soothe sore throat.
Limes can also be used for the purpose of cleaning and for beauty therapy.
fresh from the garden

This picture was taken sometime last year. There are lots of these lime? honey tangerine? (pokok kasturi in Bahasa Malaysia) at my parents’ garden or backyard. I know for a fact that limes(or Kasturi) make a DELICIOUS dressing for fish, especially “ikan masin’ (salted fish)
Yummy! My favorite.
