much better
short update
Ian woke up at 7.30am this morning, still feeling crappy – saying something which I could not make out. He got agitated and started crying. Thank God, by noon time, he was already feeling a lot better and finally started playing with toys again. He was hungry and asked his grandma to prepare him “mee hun sup”!
He’s almost back to his normal self. He missed school and I missed work!

fever again
As I write this, Ian is fast asleep. It’s now 3am. He has been unwell since yesterday, running low grade fever on and off, vomitting, complaining of headache and of feeling cold. He was unable to sleep well because of his blocked nose, waking up after 1-2 hours of sleep. He complains of pain in the throat when he drinks milk. He has not been able to take in any food since yesterday too.
10.30 am
So, we came back with a bottle of antibiotic for his throat infection, another bottle for his cough. His paed advised to finish off the actifed that we have started giving him. After taking the medications, he was feeling much better but his throat was obviously still sore as he just refused take any food, not even milk.
Most of the time, he just wanted to be hugged as he doesn’t have the mood and energy to play like normal.

Still
Ian is still not well… having fever mostly in the mornings. Waking up crying, he just wanted to be held and cuddled. I cant bear the thought of leaving him for work, not until I’m much confident he will be just fine. I was once told that ” i need to employ a maid so that I can go to work’ - this kind of approach doesn’t make sense to me!
It’s almost 1pm, he has just taken his afternoon medications. It’s good to see he’s slightly independant i mean not wanting to be held all the time. When he was in a good mood, i quickly rushed to the kitchen to fix some yogurt! Yes, yougurt again!! One thing I like about fixin my own is the freedom to practically mix it with whatever … peanuts, raisins, ice cream, fruits, etc. This time, i’m happy to just put lots and lots of banana slice as toppings.
