appreciating sunday

Glad we were at the beach.  The sunset view was spectacular!

Sunday   My sunday started out good.  Woke up early with Ian waking soon after.  He used to get real upset seeing me leave the house without him.  I guess he was in the best of mood this morning, no fuss  but just said softly, ”Bye Mom” waving at the same time.  Promised to bring him to the beach after; he was looking forward to it. He said, “we go to the beach this evening and after school tomorrow, we go to the airport to pick Daddy up”.  A promise is a promise.  Kids remember well.

Enjoying a lazy sunday!  Woke up late, intentionally.  Did a little bit of cleaning up around the house – I just find it so challenging keeping the house tidy & clean with Ian’s toys everywhere around the house!  He puts or throws things on the floor soon after I’ve cleaned up.  Of course, there were times that he helped out too !

We have taken him off ofschool for the last week.  Though he has improved after taking his medication religiously, his cough doesnt seem to go away… I’m so hoping he would be well as usual real soon.

We wanted Ian to take an afternoon nap first before heading to the beach.  He was so insistant, begging to “go now, now, now” .   “Now” seems to be his favorite word of late.   Well, he dozed off only soon after we promised to go after he has taken a nap.

We left slightly after 3.30pm and the weather was fine.

But not for long though, it actually started pouring before sunset.  The rain and strong wind came rather sudden, sent everyone practically running to find their shelter.
