Since MIL spent her weekend at BIL, we decided to dine out. We had Yu Kee’s famous Bak Kut Teh at Jalan Gaya. Ian was quite selective – he only took rice with meat balls. lots of soup and later on drank lots of tea! Bak Kut Teh served here is real tasty, probably because of MSG overload! hehe jk I’m not sure if this is the case with this Bak Kut Teh, but we sure know MSG makes any kind dish real tasty. Definitely makes us real thirsty too!
After dinner, we visited the town’s newly completed waterfront near Segama (infront of Hyatt Hotel). The park’s backdrop of the sea should look beautiful in the evening, Other obvious features of this park are the tiled pedestrian walkways (all the way from near the KK wet market to the end – near Wisma Sabah), timber deck for closer observation of the sea, seating areas, lighting, marine features (fish and dolphin), and some nicely designed bollards. I just hope this park will continuously be maintained and kept clean, not to follow the ‘faith’ of other existing parks around.
On another note, Tony called earlier to say hi and to inform that he would be out-stationed (training) to Songkhla, Thailand for about five weeks. I did asked him to take lots of pictures and to blog about his trip!
